Schedulo ("we," "our," or "the app") is developed by Sheshank Pendli. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
By using Schedulo, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any term, please do not use the app.
1. Information we collect
Account information
- Email address
- Full name (display name you provide)
- Password (never stored in plaintext; managed securely by Firebase Authentication)
Shift & financial data
- Shift details: employer name, job role, start/end times, breaks
- Pay information: hourly rates, overtime settings, bonuses, deductions
- Job profiles: job titles, weekly goals
Team & communication data (optional)
- Team membership and role
- Shift assignments and status
- Team chat messages (text)
- Photos shared in team chat (stored in Firebase Cloud Storage, auto-deleted after all members view)
- Shift swap requests
Device & usage data
- Theme preference (light/dark/system)
- Notification and reminder settings
- Calendar sync preferences
- Biometric authentication (processed entirely on your device; we never receive it)
- Anonymous crash reports: device model, OS version, app version, error stack traces—no personal or financial data included
2. How we use your information
Your data serves one purpose: to make Schedulo work for you.
We use your data to:
- Provide and operate core features (shift tracking, earnings calculation, team management)
- Authenticate your account
- Send shift reminders
- Sync shifts to your calendar (when enabled)
- Improve app stability through crash monitoring
- Facilitate team collaboration
We do NOT:
- Use your data for advertising or ad targeting
- Sell your data to third parties
- Profile or analyze your behavior
- Send marketing communications
3. Data storage & protection
All data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore and Firebase Cloud Storage (operated by Google LLC):

We do not use advertising networks, third-party analytics, or payment processors.
4. Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.
Your data is shared only with:
- Google/Firebase — to operate the app
- Your team members — if you join a team, they see your display name, email, assigned shifts, and messages within that team only
- Law enforcement — if required by law or court order
5. Retention & deletion
How long we keep your data
Your data remains in our database as long as your account is active.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account anytime from within the app. Upon deletion:
- Your profile, shifts, job profiles, and settings are permanently removed
- Team messages you sent are retained with your user ID reference only (no longer linked to you)
- Photos shared in team chat are auto-deleted once all members view them
6. Your rights
You have the right to control your data:
- Access: View your account data at any time
- Delete: Remove your account and associated data
- Clarify: Request information about how your data is used
- Contact: Reach out with privacy concerns
Security measures
We protect your data through:
- Secure authentication (hashed passwords, optional biometric lock)
- Encryption in transit and at rest
- Limited access controls
- Regular security monitoring via Firebase
Important: No system is perfectly secure. While we implement industry-standard protections, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
Schedulo is not designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided information, we will promptly delete it and terminate their account.
International users
If you use Schedulo outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and stored in US-based Google data centers. By using the app, you consent to this transfer and to the privacy laws applicable in the US.
Updates to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Changes will be posted here with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept them.
